В этой книге при обсуждении жизненных трудностей я предпочитаю термину «травма» такие фразы и слова, как «неблагоприятные жизненные обстоятельства», «невзгоды» или «негативный опыт», поскольку они, как правило, описывают ситуации, статистически ассоциируемые с серьезными проблемами или риском, но все равно предполагающие возможность их преодоления или хотя бы некоторого улучшения.
