Как и четыре более ранние монографии, настоящая работа посвящена исследованию важнейших трендов в развитии Европейского Союза, мирового порядка в целом и анализу многообразных связей между Российской Федерацией и Европейским Союзом и его государствами-членами. Предыдущими охватывался период 2004–2005, 2006–2008, 2008–2009 и 2010–начала 2011 годов. В новой – прослеживается, как калейдоскоп и мельтешение событий, которыми охарактеризовались вторая половина 2011-го и последующие 2012–2014 годы, укладываются в общую картину. Она состоит из семи разделов, в которых рассматриваются изменения, произошедшие в ЕС за годы институциональных реформ, углубления интеграции в финансовой, бюджетной и фискальной сферах и проведения политики жесткой экономии, и клубок проблем, мешающих подлинному сближению между Россией и ЕС.

Книга предназначена всем тем, кто интересуется и профессионально занимается вопросами европеистики, международных отношений, внешней политики России, европейского и международного права.
